Ranked among the nation’s top high school players—including a top-10 ranking at the catcher position—Leah Boggs entered the University of Virginia as one of the most highly regarded recruits in her class. A four-year starter and team captain from 2020 to 2024 As a sophomore, Boggs cemented her role as Virginia’s primary catcher, starting 40 games at the position and ranking among the nation’s best in gunning down runners. She threw out 16 baserunners, resulting in an impressive 36% caught-stealing rate — a mark that tied her for eighth-most caught runners in the country that season. In ACC play, she led the conference in runners caught stealing, showcasing elite arm strength and fiery passion for the game in each outing. She went on to earn numerous accolades, including NFCA All-Region First Team honors in 2022, three selections to the ACC Academic Honor Roll, UVA Defensive Player of the Year in 2024, and the Coaches Award in 2024. Following her standout collegiate career, Boggs advanced into professional softball, competing with the Chattanooga Steam (2024), NY Rise (2025), and Florida Vibe (2025). She also began her coaching career shortly after graduating, joining the Boston College softball staff as an assistant coach, where she worked closely with catchers and player development. She will now bring her leadership, experience, and defensive excellence to the professional stage once again in 2026 as the catcher for the KC Diamonds.


Savanah Henley built an impressive collegiate pitching career with the Cavaliers. After beginning her career at Purdue—where she logged 72.2 innings, four complete games, and a 13-strikeout shutout of Minnesota as a freshman—she transferred to the University of Virginia and became a key contributor in the Cavaliers’ rotation. Across four seasons at UVA, Henley appeared in more than 75 games. In 2024, she posted a dominant 1.65 ERA with 37 strikeouts, and a complete-game victory before a midseason injury cut her year short. She returned in 2025 with one of her strongest seasons, recording a 3.32 ERA with 78 strikeouts, and five combined shutouts while earning wins against top-ranked programs including Kentucky, Texas A&M, and UCLA. Henley consistently anchored UVA’s staff with clutch outings, including multiple multi-inning relief wins and complete-game performances throughout her career. After graduating, Henley continued her softball career professionally in Europe, pitching for the Bonn Capitals and gaining valuable international experience.She will now carry over her competitive edge into the next chapter of her career as a pitcher for the KC Diamonds where she is set to strengthen the staff and make an immediate impact on the mound.


Pilon was one of only two Baylor players to start all 58 games, contributing 40 hits, 22 RBIs, 15 stolen bases, and playing a key role in setting a program record with 31 double plays turned in her senior season. Her defensive excellence was recognized at the highest level in the Big 12 Conference, as she earned Big 12 Softball Defensive Player of the Year honors and was named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team as the league’s top second baseman — a testament to her elite fielding ability and leadership on the diamond. Pilon ranked among the nation’s best in defensive metrics posting a standout .992 fielding percentage in conference play. She is set to begin her first season as a professional, joining the Kansas City Diamonds as she brings her elite defensive ability and winning experience to the next level.


A consistent force in the circle, Laurin Krings anchored Missouri’s pitching staff throughout her collegiate career, culminating in a standout senior season in 2024 in which she posted a 17–10 record with nine complete games, two shutouts, a 2.38 ERA, and 147 strikeouts, helping the Tigers advance deep into postseason play. She also delivered several memorable feats on the mound, throwing multiple no-hit performances—including no-hitters against Bethune-Cookman and North Texas—and pitching one of the rare perfect games in Missouri history against Bradley.
Krings finished her Tiger tenure ranked among the program’s all-time leaders in multiple pitching categories, including appearances (136, eighth), innings pitched (604.2, ninth), strikeouts (599, sixth), and wins (57, 10th). Her collegiate career was highlighted by an extensive list of honors and recognitions, including NFCA Southeast All-Region Third Team (2024), SEC All-Defensive Team (2024), and SEC All-Tournament Team (2024) honors. She was named Wilson/NFCA National Pitcher of the Week and SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week in April 2023, later earned D1Softball Pitcher of the Week recognition in February 2024, and was selected to the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic All-Tournament Team. Krings was also a three-time member of the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll (2022, 2023, 2024).
Before her collegiate career, Krings was one of Colorado’s most decorated high school softball players, earning Gatorade Colorado Softball Player of the Year honors twice while retiring nearly 1,000 career strikeouts, cementing her status as one of the most accomplished pitchers to compete at both the high school and SEC levels. We are excited to welcome Laurin Krings to the Diamonds and look forward to the impact her experience, competitiveness, and proven success in the circle will bring to our team.


Lauren is a standout outfielder and Wichita State alum whose elite collegiate career and professional experience make her a dynamic addition to the KC Diamonds. A Division I competitor, she built a reputation as a consistent offensive threat and dependable presence in the outfield.
Throughout her time with the Shockers Lauren earned multiple First Team All-Conference selections, three NFCA All-Central Region Third Team honors, and three American Athletic Conference Player of the Week awards. In 2023, she gained national recognition as a Softball America Third Team All-American, cementing her status among the top players in the country.
Following her collegiate career, Lauren continued to compete at the professional level with the New York Rise, gaining valuable experience and sharpening her game against elite talent. She now brings that high-level experience, defensive range, and competitive edge to the KC Diamonds, ready to make an immediate impact and elevate the outfield unit.


Allie Skaggs is an elite middle infielder from Arizona Softball and one of the most accomplished defenders in the game. Skaggs built a standout collegiate career defined by consistency, power, and Gold Glove–caliber defense at second base.
In 2024, Skaggs earned First Team All-American honors from D1 Softball and was named First Team NFCA All-West and First Team All-Pac-12, while landing on the USA Softball Top 50 Player of the Year Watch List. She entered the season ranked among the nation’s best, earning multiple preseason honors including Softball America Preseason All-American (Second Team), D1 Softball Preseason All-American (Second Team), and top-20 national player rankings from both outlets.
Skaggs’ 2023 season further cemented her reputation as one of the top infielders in college softball. She was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, earned the NFCA/Rawlings Gold Glove at second base, and collected First Team All-Pac-12 and All-Defensive Team honors. Nationally, she was a D1 Softball Second Team All-American and NFCA All-West selection.
As a sophomore in 2022, Skaggs continued her rise with Second Team NFCA All-American honors, First Team NFCA All-West, and All-Pac-12 recognition. She was a two-time Pac-12 Player of the Week and a national Extra Inning Softball Player of the Week,
Across her career, Skaggs etched her name into the Arizona record books, ranking 13th all-time in home runs (57), tying for first in single-season fielding percentage (1.000 in 2023), and tying the program record for home runs in a single game (3 in 2022).
Her signing marks a major addition to the KC Diamonds, bringing one of the nation’s premier infielders to Kansas City.


Alex Brown is a dynamic infielder and one of the most productive offensive players to come out of Clemson Softball, bringing elite consistency, versatility, and championship experience to the professional level. A proven run-producer with the ability to impact the game in multiple ways, Brown has excelled across the infield while setting records and earning national recognition.
During her standout season at Clemson, Brown earned NFCA All-Region Third Team honors, was named First Team All-ACC, and helped lead the Tigers to an ACC Championship. She was recognized as an ACC Player of the Week, Softball America Star of the Week, and earned multiple national performance honors after a dominant stretch in March. She finished the season ranked among the nation’s top third basemen by Softball America and D1Softball.
Brown delivered one of the most productive offensive seasons in program history, setting a Clemson single-season record with 70 runs scored, leading the team with 81 hits, and drawing a program-record 41 walks. She posted an outstanding .413 batting average, .420 on-base percentage, and .571 slugging percentage, while tallying 22 multi-hit games and scoring multiple runs in 19 contests. Her consistency was highlighted by a 19-game on-base streak and a program-record 10-game run-scoring streak.
In 2024, Brown continued her strong production, earning Second Team All-ACC honors while starting all 54 games at shortstop, third base, or second base. She led the team with 61 hits, posted a .328 average, and set a single-season record with 186 at-bats, showcasing both durability and versatility at the highest level of competition.
Before Clemson, Brown spent two seasons at North Carolina, where she was named NFCA Southeast All-Region Third Team and All-ACC Second Team in 2023. She led the Tar Heels with a .399 batting average and .438 on-base percentage, hit .434 in ACC play, and stole 11 bases while making 95 starts across 103 appearances.
Known for her high IQ, positional flexibility, and relentless approach at the plate, Alex Brown brings proven production, championship experience, and leadership to the KC Diamonds.

The first-ever Pro Softball Series in Kansas City, hosted by Top Gun Events, featured a three‑day round-robin showdown between the newly formed collegiate all-star team, the Florida Vibe, and the New York Rise. Running concurrently with the Youth‑club‑focused Top Gun Invitational, the event marked a major milestone in elevating KC as a professional softball destination.
